Djokovic & Williams Win 2015 Wimbledon Titles

Novak Djokovic has won the 2015 Wimbledon title making it his third Wimbledon win. After four grueling sets, the World No. 1 player beat Switzerland’s Roger Federer 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3. Djokovic was asked about his match with Roger and answered graciously, “It’s always a great privilege playing against Roger,” Djokovic said. “He’s done so much for our sport on and off the court and he’s definitely somebody that a lot of the players in my generation were looking up to him and following his lead and it’s a great honor to play here again.

“He makes you push your limits, he makes you work hard and earn every single point,” he added. “For these particular matches, you work all your life… You envision yourself being at the Centre Court in the biggest tournament in sports and holding this trophy, so it’s a very thrilling feeling.”

The Wimbledon win is his second Grand Slam of the year after winning the 2015 Australian Open. His career Grand Slam titles are now nine.

Serena Williams brought home the Wimbledon 2015 title for the sixth time of her career defeating Garbine Muguruza from Spain in a 6-4, 6-4 victory. Williams not only won the title but she is now the oldest female professional tennis player to win a Grand Slam holding all four major Grand Slam titles. The win makes it her 21st Grand Slam win.
