Paris, France (June 7): It was two weeks to remember for 20-year-old Ana Ivanovic, who became the first female representing Serbia to win a Grand Slam singles title, as well as the first to rise to No.1, which she got after beating countrywoman Jelena Jankovic in the semifinals (there was a lot on the line in that match, as Jankovic would have secured No.1 by beating Ivanovic). No longer best known for her Grand Slam runner-up finishes, Ivanovic posed with the fruit of her labor in front of the Eiffel Tower later on in the day.
