Stanford, CA, USA (July 19): Aleksandra Wozniak lifted the Bank of the West Classic trophy, becoming the first Canadian to win a Sony Ericsson WTA Tour singles title in over 20 years. The last Canadian to win one was Jill Hetherington at Wellington in 1988.
